French for the International Traveller - Part II
Don't be late!

- If you are travelling in France and someone invites you to "déjeuner", they are inviting you to lunch. (But in Canadian French, déjeuner means breakfast).

- If you are invited to "dîner" in France, this means supper. (The word "dîner" refers to lunch in Canadian French).

- And if you are invited to a "souper" in France, it simply means a meal among friends. ("Souper" in Canadian French refers to supper).

PS - As Asterix would say, "These Gauls are crazy!"
